About RYSA

Redmond Youth Soccer Association (RYSA) is a private non-profit organization.  RYSA has 7 voting Board Members as follows:  President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Registrar, Head Boys Coach, Head Girls Coach. RYSA also has appointed board positions that are non voting members.

RYSA is an organization governed by a set of established bylaws. These bylaws help guide the organization and provide clarity in its rules and regulations. Click below to read about the RYSA bylaws:

 

RYSA Position Descriptions

RYSA President: 

PRESIDENT. This member shall supervise all activities of the Association and Board. This member shall chair the Executive Committee. This member will serve as chairman at all Association/ Board meetings. This member shall be the Registered Agent for the corporation with the State of Oregon. This member shall be the ex-officio head of all committees, and appoint other special officers as the need arises, or when requested by fifty percent or more of the elected officers. This member shall maintain a file for insurance claims. In member's capacity as chairman of the Board, member shall vote only in the case of a tie.

RYSA VP: 

VICE PRESIDENT. This member shall assume the duties of the President in his/her absence and otherwise assist the President as required. This member shall also chair all fund-raising drives, serve as Association Parliamentarian and shall be a voting member of the Board and shall serve on the Executive Committee.

RYSA Registrar: 

REGISTRAR.  This member shall be responsible for certifying birth dates and all necessary registration forms and fees of all Association players for interclub or champion competition. All fees shall be given to the Treasurer for deposit. This member shall be a voting member of the Board.

RYSA Secretary 

SECRETARY. This member shall act as Business Manager and attend to all correspondence, records, reports, and mail. This member shall also record and prepare all meeting minutes to be read or distributed at subsequent meetings. This member shall be a voting member of the Board and shall serve on the Executive Committee.

RYSA Treasurer: 

TREASURER. It will be this member's responsibility to keep a financial record on all monetary transactions, including all incoming and outgoing monies. This member shall maintain a checking account with signature authority vested in the following: President, Treasurer and Secretary, with dual signatures required. This member shall recommend a budget for presentation at the annual meeting. The treasurer shall be a voting member of the Board and shall serve on the Executive Committee.

BOYS HEAD COACH. 

This member shall be responsible for the following functions as they relate to coaching for boys teams:

1. To develop and carry out a Coach Development program including clinics, regular meetings of coaches during the Association season, and any other training-related activities as are appropriate;

2. Communicate to coaches information of programs and Association policies and general information relating to the Association activities and team organization;

3. Coordinate the recruitment of coaches;

4. Coordinate with the Registrar the assignment of coaches to teams; and

5. Report to the Board all matters related to coaching.

This member shall be a voting member of the Board.

RYSA Girls Head Coach: 

GIRLS HEAD COACH.  This member shall be responsible for the following functions as they relate to coaching for girls teams:

1. To develop and carry out a Coach Development program including clinics, regular meetings of coaches during the Association season, and any other training-related activities as are appropriate;

2. Communicate to coaches information of programs and Association policies and general information relating to the Association activities and team organization;

3. Coordinate the recruitment of coaches;

4. Coordinate with the Registrar the assignment of coaches to teams; and

5. Report to the Board all matters related to coaching.

This member shall be a voting member of the Board.
